Let's make some fermented feed for the ducks 🦆 I want them to have the best quality food possible, but that can definitely come at a high price. So I did some research, and fermented feed seems like the best option. I will have to remeber to mix it every day, then hopefully in 3 days they should have an extra nutritious feed for a lower cost than something ready made. Although I suspect the freezing temperatures may slow things down a little. I will let you know how it goes 😀 #ducks #gardenduc

Fermented feed takes half the amount of feed you would normally need, so approximately 1/4 cup per bird. In this video I am fermenting two days worth of feed for 27 chickens. I have found that making feed for two days at a time is easier and more efficient. The fermented feed will have a tangy smell to it which is normal! That means the fermentation process is working. Fermented feed is ready by day 3 but can be fed on day 4 as well. Any chicken feed can be fermented. Im using chicken layer pell
